Pinoy Fear Factor is a franchise reality show on ABS-CBN that started airing on November 10, 2008. It ran for 15 weeks, ending on February 20, 2009. The show is based on the Dutch reality game show Now or Neverland and is produced by Endemol. Though the Philippine producers have plans to make the Philippines the next Fear Factor hub in the world, they still decided to shoot the first series in Buenos Aires, Argentina where stunts experts and resources are readily available.

Competition reality series in which contestants must decide if they have the guts and determination to face their fears while outpacing the competition.

This refresh of the breakthrough series is hosted by Ludacris and custom-created for a new generation. Filled with new stunts inspired by urban legends, popular scary movies and viral videos from today’s cultural zeitgeist, contestants will confront their fears, be pushed beyond their comfort zones and take action against some of their biggest stressors.

Fear Factor is the ultimate adrenaline rush, a true test of stamina and guile for those willing to put their body and soul on the line for cold hard cash. It's not a show for the faint-hearted; participants must confront their most primal fears, try to remain calm and tap into their inner strength to perform some of the most daring and stomach churning challenges ever. Three men and three women compete against each other in four stunts designed to test them both physically and mentally to their absolute limits. The prize is $50,000 (AUD).
